KUKA is supplying the Irish Louth & Meath Education and Training Board with a series of training robots for the new, state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence (AMTCE). The center will be the largest vocational training facility of its kind in Europe.

AMTCE offers tailor-made training courses to qualify and retrain operators and technicians and is an important part of the “Industry 4.0 Strategy 2020-2025” program and the Irish government’s COVID-19 reconstruction plan.

The order comprises a total of 31 robots and is in the single-digit million-euro range. The training facility includes customized 6-axis industrial robots with vision systems, robot welding cells, robot milling/machining cells, and collaborative robot cells.

KUKA is the only robot manufacturer with a local presence in Ireland, with sales, customer service, application engineering, and training on-site. With this order, KUKA is strengthening its local commitment and further expanding its presence in the Irish market.
