The market has not previously offered mobile controllers with safe, floating outputs. Using B&R’s new safety relay module, external safety devices such as drives and laser scanners can now be connected to the X90 controller via a floating-ground emergency stop circuit. It is possible to achieve a PLe/SIL3 level of safety. Agricultural and construction vehicles are particularly well suited to the option board.
